Zombieville USA 2 Review (iOS)

Zombieville USA 2 Title Screen
Picture this: You’re running through the abandoned streets of the USA wearing a top hat and gunning down a horde of zombies? What could be cooler than that, right? Zombieville USA 2 is a side scrolling shooter that lets you do exactly that.

You’re thrown into one of the various levels with three guns and one objective in mind – kill as many zombies as you can in the allotted time, before a helicopter comes and saves you. Along the way, you break open things such as mailboxes or trash cans, collecting pickups such as ammo or money.

With the money you pick up and earn brings some rpg like elements to the shooter. Using money, you can buy new guns and upgrades, granting various effects. Although this adds a slightly grinding feel to the game, it still is a lot of fun and will make you spend a lot more hours playing.

Zombieville USA 2 Guns

With hundreds of different combinations of guns and perks, there are limitless ways to play the game. Although the concept is the same no matter what combination of guns and perks you’re using, the game will still have a different feel to it depending on what you’re using. It’s kind of fun to experiment around and find out what class works best for you.

The game features 10 levels, which are all slightly similar. As you progress further into the game, the zombies will get tougher and tougher to kill, although beating the final level is still pretty easy. The replayability here is solely dependent on how determined you are to get a high score.

Zombieville USA 2 also features a co-op multiplayer mode, in which you can play with a friend via Bluetooth or Game Center. The gameplay is exactly the same, although it is fun to compete with your friends and see who can kill more zombies before the time runs out.

Although the game does have its flaws, there’s a reason it’s been in the Top Charts of the App Store for so long – the gameplay is fun and addictive.
